We reported earlier on the concerning news that Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem had been rushed to the hospital by ambulance in Washington, D.C.
🚨 #BREAKING: DHS Secretary Kristi Noem has been rushed to the hospital in DC
I can confirm she went by ambulance about 45 minutes ago, and that ambulance was escorted by multiple Secret Service vehicles
The nature of the emergency is unknown, but she is conscious and has… pic.twitter.com/0m4BASpm5X

All they knew as of that report was that she was conscious and speaking to her security team.

This would be the time, one might think, for everyone on whatever side of the aisle they might be, to hold good thoughts for Noem’s health.
Instead, what we got from the Daily Mail was a disgusting headline about the event.

“ICE Barbie Kristi Noem Rushed to the Hospital,” it said. Yes, it was real, it was still there an hour after publishing, despite many people reacting to the tweet.
How is that even close to being objective reporting — or even basic, professional reporting?
It isn’t. This is gross, and why people have just lost patience with the liberal media when they do things like this. What’s the point of that kind of headline? It’s just taking a shot at Noem. It’s not even a political criticism; it’s just trying to make fun of her, which is particularly bad under the circumstances. How could anyone rely upon an outlet that behaves this way? How could you ever trust what they were reporting when they act like this and try to demean a female Cabinet secretary this way?
As we reported, Noem had an allergic reaction and was recovering. According to a DHS spokesperson, “she was transported to the hospital out of an abundance of caution,” the spokesperson said. That’s good, allergic reactions can be problematic.
The Daily Mail’s story notes that. They also note the incident with Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA). They say he “tried to ask her a question.” They do not fully describe the encounter but say he “interrupted and was hauled off.” They put in Padilla’s whining, including that he prayed Noem “never have a moment like this.” He’s seriously stretching his 15 minutes. The Daily Mail didn’t provide the full context of the incident in that story.
The Daily Mail was properly flamed on X in an immediate ratio for their ridiculous headline.
Name-calling and body shaming are unecessary lows to get a click-bait headline. If that’s the only way you can get people to read your article, consider quitting altogether. https://t.co/tnWTzBg1Lp
