DFL Insider Deported | Power Line

One of these days we will move on from the Minnesota fraud story, but for now the hits keep on coming. President Trump directed a surge of ICE personnel in Minneapolis, as he has in several other cities. That prompted a bizarre press conference by the Minneapolis Chief of Police, in which he urged citizens to call 911 if they see an ICE officer misbehaving, suggesting that the Minneapolis Police Department would be arresting ICE personnel.

So, what has the beefed-up ICE presence accomplished? This, for starters:

An illegal immigrant from Somalia with a long rap sheet for fraud and apparent ties to Democratic politicians in Minnesota — including Gov. Tim Walz and Rep. Ilhan Omar — was arrested Friday as part of President Trump’s immigration crackdown.

Abdul Dahir Ibrahim was taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and is being held at the McCook ICE facility in Nebraska, dubbed the “Cornhusker Clink” by the Department of Homeland Security, records show.

Ibrahim has an extensive criminal history and has had removal orders against him since 2004, according to Fox News.

Notwithstanding being an illegal, Ibrahim appears to be a DFL Party insider:

This is Ibrahim with Omar Fateh, the socialist who recently lost the Minneapolis mayoral election. Fateh wrote a letter of recommendation for Ibrahim in his immigration proceedings:

How did Ibrahim come to America? He was deported from Canada for fraud:

Prior to entering the US, Ibrahim was convicted of asylum and welfare fraud in Canada, the outlet reported.

Apparently they take asylum fraud seriously in Canada, unlike the U.S.

In one of his rejected petitions for asylum, Ibrahim claimed his sister and her five children to be his spouse and his own kids, documents show.

The judge cited Ibrahim’s “complete lack of credibility,” in rejecting his petition.

I don’t blame Ibrahim for trying. That kind of asylum fraud is common, if not near-universal, in the U.S.

Here in America, Ibrahim has continued his life of crime. But now it is over:

Ibrahim has been subject to a deportation order since 2004. His deportation was delayed in part by Temporary Protected Status, but that doesn’t explain the entire 21-year lapse. Now, under President Trump, he will not only be ordered deported, he will actually be deported. What a change!
