Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) reacted to the mass shooting at a catholic school in Minnesota by blaming Republicans and rightly got destroyed for doing so just hours after innocent children were killed.
After a gunman rained gunfire down on children who were attending mass at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis on Wednesday morning, Klobuchar took time to speak to MSNBC and blamed her colleagues on the other side of the aisle for the deadly shooting.

In a clip from our sister site Townhall.com, the Democrat leader said after learning of the shooting, “it of course made me think about guns and all the work we’ve done to ban these automatic rifles.”
🚨LIES—Sen. Klobuchar just BLAMED Republicans for the shooting at the MN Catholic mass.
“All the work we’ve done to ban these automatic rifles, & do something when it comes to background checks…We keep getting thwarted.”

“And to do something when it comes to when it comes to background checks and everything,” Klobuchar said. “We keep getting THWARTED. We were able to pass a limited measure on a bipartisan basis, but not enough to stop something like this. It makes you think about that.”
As Townhall.com noted in the post, Klobuchar is just flat-out lying, and it’s disgusting.
“LIES—Sen. Klobuchar just BLAMED Republicans for the shooting at the MN Catholic mass,” the post read.
Conservatives took to social media to blast the congresswoman for the attack, pointing out how she said the shooter used an “automatic rifle,” which the person did not, per the Minneapolis Police Department.
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara told the press that “A gunman approached on the outside of the side of the building and began firing a rifle through the church windows. The shooter was armed with a rifle, shotgun, and a pistol.”
“Amy Klobuchar is scum. Blaming Republicans for the shooting in a Minneapolis Catholic school and church in a city where these weapons are already banned,” one person on X wrote. “And as for thoughts and prayers, if you think we believe they are a magic shield, you do not get it. The need for prayers after a tragedy is for peace, comfort, and healing.”

“Stop sending your political messages when there are kids fighting for their lives and families grieving,” the post added.

Interestingly enough, later, when the Democrat senator appeared on CNN, she had stopped claiming an “automatic rifle” was used in this situation — likely because she got blasted for saying something that wasn’t true.
U.S. SEN. AMY KLOBUCHAR (D-MN): “Right now, some doctors and nurses that are sitting in an operating room with a little kid trying to save them from a shot in the stomach or shot in the neck. And that’s what we think of viscerally now. But to just let it go there and say… pic.twitter.com/y5uWpZ53Xu

Klobuchar told CNN, “But at some point, when you see these innocent kids praying in a church and they get gunned down by a madman, you have to step back and think what can we do better.”
“What can we do better with background checks, or with assault weapons, which may not have played into this situation?” she added, admitting what she said before was wrong.
As my RedState colleague Sister Toldjah reported, early Wednesday morning, local media outlets reported there was a mass shooting incident at the Catholic school, with nearly two dozen victims and the suspect reportedly dead.
