The man was booked into Hennepin County Jail for third-degree assault. Omar was not injured, according to police.
From Hollowed Towns to Thriving Hubs: My Blueprint to Bring Manufacturing Home and Secure Our Future
Bringing manufacturing home isn’t just an economic imperative; it’s a patriotic duty. We’ve let globalists erode our strength for too long.
Trump’s Homeownership Executive Order: A Much-Needed Bad Idea?
Government intervention in the economy does not remedy government intervention in the economy. Only government retrenchment can do that: removal of the bad laws that are causing the problems.
Trending Across Townhall Media
NFL Player Arrested For Trying to Declare Gun at Airport
Walker shouldn’t have been charged. Not because he’s an NFL player, but because the law is vile and unconstitutional.
Tim Walz Wants to Beat the S*!T Out of JD Vance
Tim Walz can’t decide whether he wants to play the peacemaker or the tough guy.
Frankly, he does neither of them well, and he is not smart enough to know how to shut the hell up. Which explains why Minnesota has been such a mess under his “leadership.”
More Information About the Suspect Identified in Ihan Omar Assault
Kelley told the Post that Kazmierczak “has been ‘heavily medicated’ due to a car wreck that impacted his spine years ago.”
The neighbor told the Post that the car accident “left him ‘not very physically able to do much.’”
It’s a Question Everyone Is Asking About the Ilhan Omar Syringe Attack…and I Can See Why
Still, the man sat right in front of her, and the mayhem seemed a bit coincidental as the Justice Department opened an investigation into her financials. The reactions were solid as usual, but I can see how there could be questions.
IRONY! Chris Cillizza and Chuck Todd Blasting WaPo’s Demise Is Pure Unintentional Comedy
Oh, NBC is just as dead. They got rid of Todd, but as is typical with the legacy media, they just replaced him with people even more partisan and unprofessional than he is.
WHAT’S ON TAP?
Today on Capitol Hill…
There are multiple hearings set for Wednesday on the Hill, including:
- Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions — Hearings to examine educational choice in America
- Senate Foreign Relations — Hearings to examine U.S. policy towards Venezuela [Secretary of State Marco Rubio to testify]
- Senate Judiciary — Hearings to examine the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act and executive accountability
- Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations — Hearings to examine one year after disaster, focusing on the Palisades fire
- Senate Veterans’ Affairs — Hearings to examine a 21st century VA health care system, focusing on efforts to restructure the Veterans Health Administration [VA Secretary Doug Collins to testify]
Of course, the big focus is going to be on the appropriations bills and whether GOP leadership in the Senate will be able to drag them across the finish line in the face of pushback from the Democrats.
Then, too, there’s a bunch of buzz on Wednesday following the bizarro incident Tuesday night involving Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN-05) at a town hall event in Minneapolis.

On Tuesday, Vice President JD Vance shared a post marking Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Today we remember the millions of lives lost during the Holocaust, the millions of stories of individual bravery and heroism, and one of the enduring lessons of one of the darkest chapters in human history: that while humans create beautiful things and are full of compassion,… pic.twitter.com/2UwFcy4Kmp

Keeping Up With the Cabinet
Sec. Housing & Urban Development – Scott Turner — Turner, in conjunction with President Trump’s visit to Iowa on Tuesday, touted the tax savings resulting from the Working Families Tax Cuts and the improving housing market.
Iowa is winning again under @POTUS‘ leadership.
Iowa families can expect an average savings of $3,139 on their taxes because of the Working Families Tax Cuts.
Money they can use to capitalize on Iowa’s improving housing market — with housing prices down 3.5% from last year. https://t.co/ErxT5eEf19

Also, a shoutout to Secretary of State Marco Rubio who has a busy Wednesday on tap. In addition to testifying regarding Venezuela before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in the morning, he’ll also be meeting with opposition leader Maria Corina Machada in the afternoon.
NEW: Secretary of State Marco Rubio will host #Venezuela opposition leader Maria Corina Machado at the State Department at 1pm on Wednesday after testifying at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee at 10am.

Full Court Press…
Not a ton of court rulings on Tuesday BUT…there was kind of an interesting development in a Minnesota case involving a habeas petition and threatened contempt for Acting Ice Director Todd Lyons. (Don’t worry — it’s not going to happen.)

COMING ATTRACTIONS
Speaking of Lyons, the House Homeland Security Committee will be holding a hearing entitled “Oversight of the Department of Homeland Security: ICE, CBP, and USCIS” on Tuesday, February 10th.
I’m loath to mention it, but…there’s a potential we’ll be looking at Government Shutdown 2.0 at the end of the week. (My money’s still on no, but…we’ll see.)
MORNING MUSING
Pressed for time this AM, so I’ll keep this very brief: Don’t be dumb. I don’t know how the incident involving Ilhan Omar on Tuesday evening will ultimately shake out, but no matter how you slice it, what happened was dumb. Don’t be dumb.
Don’t do this. https://t.co/yCCBRiClQn
