If you think Gavin Newsom is crude and clueless, you should get a load of his staff. Now that Newsom is promoting his dyslexia as a political asset (while at the same time getting in hot water for his racism), a reporter from RealClearPolitics reached out to Newsom’s staff to ask whether they have documentation of the governor’s dyslexia. The staffer’s response? “F*ck off.” Among his other failings, Newsom is normalizing the routine use of terrible language by a politician and his staff:

Newsom is obviously desperate to dig himself out of the hole he created by telling a black audience he is just like them, because he can’t read and he bombed the SAT test. But this, by his press office, might be the lamest spin I have ever seen:

It was Newsom, obviously, who denigrated black people, while conservatives didn’t “mock black people,” we mocked Newsom for his racist pandering.
I suppose in a world where every voter sported a 960 SAT score, like Newsom per his own account, his campaign might be able to get away with this sort of idiocy. But that, happily, is not the world we live in.
