Greggs fans are in for a new treat when heading away on holiday. The iconic British bakery chain has teamed up with easyJet for a new promotion which sees passengers enjoying Greggs favourites as they jet off from one UK airport. The collaboration has been launched to celebrate easyJet’s new hub at Newcastle Airport, taking passengers from the city in the North of England to sunny spots in Spain, Greece, France and Portugal.
Passengers flying from Newcastle Airport with easyJet today will enjoy the popular Greggs sausage roll, accompanied by unique dips inspired by destinations around the world. The new easyJet base in Newcastle will accommodate three of the airline’s aircraft. This new hub represents an 85% increase in international flights available from the UK. The airline is now offering 86 flights per week to 22 leisure destinations across Europe and North Africa. While passengers today get treated to sausage rolls on their flights, they will have five limited-edition dips to choose from. These are:
Tangy Rarte Tatin – “The comforting taste of caramelised apple and warm cinnamon, with a delicate hint of thyme. A sophisticated patisserie classic. “
Spicy Harissa Ketchup – “Vibrant and exotic, this sweet-and-spicy ketchup blends rich tomato, sweet date, and tangy pomegranate.”
Snappy Sangria – “Bursting with red wine, zesty orange, and tangy cranberry. All the vibrant spirit of Spanish Sangria. “
Saucy Kebab – “Aromatic and authentic, featuring zesty lemon, tangy vinegar, and smoky paprika. A total Turkish delight.”

Additionally, free sausage rolls and Destination Dips will be available from Monday 23 to Wednesday 25 in Newcastle City Centre via an easyJet cabin trolley.
Newcastle is easyJet’s 11th UK base opening. It provides over 800,000 seats for customers to choose from when planning trips from Newcastle Airport.
