Epstein files to be released within 30 days as Donald Trump signs historic bill

The Epstein files are to be released within 30 days as Donald Trump has signed a historic bill.

The US President said: “I have just signed the Bill to release the Epstein files.

“Democrats have used the ‘Epstein’ issue, which affects them far more than the Republican Party, in order to try and distract from our amazing victories.”

The Bill was put before the President after it was passed by the House of Representatives on Tuesday and then by the Senate.

The Justice Department now has 30 days to release the documents centred on Jeffrey Epstein.

Mr Trump had previously denounced the files, branding them a “hoax”.

However, over the weekend he called on Republicans in Congress to vote in favour of the so-called Epstein Files Bill.

The President said: “Because of this request, the votes were unanimous in favour of the passage.”

The vote in the House of Representatives saw 427 vote in favour with only one against.

Mr Trump has repeatedly drawn links between Epstein and the Democrats, especially Bill Clinton.

He has called for the Justice Department to investigate the former President’s links to the disgraced financier.

He also pressed for investigations into Epstein’s links with former treasury secretary Larry Summers and Reid Hoffman, the LinkedIn founder and a prominent Democrat donor.
