FBI Agents Fired, Finally | Power Line

In the bad old days of 2020, a number of FBI agents participated in George Floyd demonstrations and knelt in deference to that supposed martyr:

Some agents who engaged in such conduct were reassigned (to what?) last spring, but now as many as 20 FBI agents have been fired:

The FBI has fired agents who were photographed kneeling during a racial justice protest in Washington that followed the 2020 death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police officers, three people familiar with the matter said Friday.

The bureau last spring had reassigned the agents but has since fired them, said the people, who insisted on anonymity to discuss personnel matters with The Associated Press.

The number of FBI employees terminated was not immediately clear, but two people said it was roughly 20.

This is good to see. Why? Because the entire point of the George Floyd demonstrations was to promote the idea that America’s criminal justice system is racist. But that claim is false, it isn’t. And Floyd himself was a career criminal who, at the time of his death, had three times a lethal dose of fentanyl in his system. Race had nothing to do with it.

It is reasonable to expect an FBI agent to support law enforcement, not to undermine law enforcement with false claims of racism. So the Bureau will be better off without those who took a knee to honor George Floyd and to indict many thousands of capable and honest law enforcement personnel.
