FBI Director Kash Patel reacted on social media Thursday to the release of the “Durham Annex,” an appendix to John Durham’s 2023 Special Counsel report that looked into the origins of the Trump-Russia collusion hoax.
The new revelations continue to prove it was all a hoax cooked up at the highest levels of government and “was a disgrace that President Trump and our country should’ve never been put through,” the director wrote.
We uncovered this annex, along with thousands of other documents, buried in a back room at the FBI.
It revealed a highly classified piece of the Durham report: evidence that the Clinton campaign plotted to frame President Trump and fabricate the Russia collusion hoax.

The tweet continues:
We worked with Chairman Grassley and declassified the documents immediately. And now the American people can see the truth for themselves.
The Russia hoax was a disgrace that President Trump and our country should’ve never been put through.
He vowed that the release of the annex was certainly not the end of the story and that the Bureau would be laser-focused on continuing to get to the bottom of what Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has called a “treasonous conspiracy”:

As RedState’s Susie Moore reported, there was a plethora of incriminating details revealed in Sen. Chuck Grassley’s (R-IA) release of the report showing just how far Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and their intelligence cohorts were willing to go to falsely accuse Trump of collaborating with the Russians. And now another usual suspect’s name has come up: billionaire leftist financier George Soros. Moore:
There’s a lot to review and digest… [The annex is] 29 pages and we’re continuing to pore through it, but the real kicker appears to be ties to George Soros’ Open Society Foundation.
The credible foreign sources indicating the FBI and the Obama administration would play a role in spreading the salacious Trump-Russia narrative — before the bureau ever launched its probe — were tied to George Soros’ Open Society Foundation, according to an explosive document declassified Thursday morning.
There also appeared to be a smoking gun showing that Democrat presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton directly approved the dissemination of false Russiagate information:
“Julie (Clinton Campaign Advisor) says it will be a long-term affair to demonize Putin and Trump. Now it is good for a post-convention bounce,” [Leonard] Bernardo [an Open Societies operative] wrote, per the appendix. “Later the FBI will put more oil into the fire.”
Another email reportedly from Bernardo states: “HRC [Hillary Rodham Clinton] approved [Clinton campaign advisor] Julie’s idea about Trump and Russian hackers hampering U.S. elections.”
As much as Obama, Hillary, former FBI Director James Comey, and former CIA Director John Brennan want this story to go away, it is going to do anything but. The Trump team and the GOP are collecting the receipts, and the pile is growing ever higher.
