Foreigners who celebrated Charlie Kirk’s death have had their US visas revoked in a striking name-and-shame campaign from the State Department.
On Tuesday night, Marco Rubio’s department, the equivalent to the UK Foreign Office, announced that a spate of foreign nationals would “no longer be welcome” stateside.
In a bristling six-part social media address, it said: “The United States has no obligation to host foreigners who wish death on Americans.
“The State Department continues to identify visa-holders who celebrated the heinous assassination of Charlie Kirk,” it continued, before naming and shaming six.
An Argentine, a South African, a Mexican, a Brazilian, a German and a Paraguayan all had their access to the US cut off after their messages.
The Argentine said Mr Kirk “devoted his entire life spreading racist, xenophobic, misogynistic rhetoric” and deserved to burn in hell.
The South African “mocked Americans grieving the loss” of the slain activist, the State Department said – alongside a screenshot of their post reading: “They’re hurt that the racist rally ended in attempted martyrdom… He was used to astroturf a movement of white nationalist trailer trash”.
The Mexican national said Mr Kirk “died being a racist, he died being a misogynist” and “there are people who deserve to die. There are people who would make the world better off dead”.

The Brazilian claimed “Charlie Kirk was the reason for a Nazi rally where they marched in homage to him” and that the Turning Point USA founder “died too late”.
The German celebrated Kirk’s death and attempted to justify his murder by writing “when fascists die, democrats don’t complain”, the department said.
And the Paraguayan said “Charlie Kirk was a son of a b**** and he died by his own rules”.
To all six, the State Department issued a two-word put-down: “Visa revoked.”
