Former UFC star Conor McGregor posts ‘Jesus is King’ on X

(LifeSiteNews) — UFC fighter and controversial international celebrity Conor McGregor posted “Jesus is King” with a picture of his family in front of a crucifix.

“I have never been so at peace in my life as I am right now. Jesus is King! Family is life! Thank you,“ McGregor wrote in the post on X.

McGregor is a mixed-martial-arts fighter known for his success in the UFC as well as his brash personality. He won the UFC Featherweight and Lightweight Titles, becoming the first fighter in history to hold titles in two weight classes simultaneously. He is known for trash-talking his opponents before fights.

He has been involved in numerous legal issues, including many driving offenses and assault and sexual harassment charges. These controversies led to him losing sponsorship deals.

However, McGregor said on numerous occasions that he is a “proud Catholic” and that his mother instilled the faith in him from a young age. He has said that he and his family believe in God and are deeply religious.

His bio on X states: “Pray EVERYDAY!! #GOD #FAMILY #COUNTRY #TRUTH”

In 2021, McGregor said that forced COVID shots are a “war crime” and that people must have “the right to choose” what to inject into their bodies.

In March, the former UFC champion announced his run for the Irish presidency on a nationalist and anti-immigration platform, stating that Ireland is “at war” following the 2023 Dublin anti-immigration riots. Critics have argued that McGregor has only made more Christian pronouncements in recent months to salvage his image and gain support for his run for office.
