This morning I noted Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon’s letter to Keith Ellison et al. putting the state of Minnesota on notice that the Civil Rights Division is investigating the state for possible hiring discrimination in violation of Title VII. I had somehow missed the fact that the underlying story was reported by Alpha News here yesterday and in Liz Collin’s July 8 tweet (below). Alpha News reports on Harmeet Dhillon’s letter today here. I should have noted this coverage in my post this morning.

As Hayley Feland notes in yesterday’s story, Ms. Dhillon commented on Liz’s tweet earlier this week: “Not legal.” The reporting by Liz appears to have prompted the current investigation and congratulations are in order.
