A full list of the aircraft due to take part in the Trooping the Colour flypast later today has been revealed. The event to mark King Charles III’s official birthday will feature a parade from the Number 7 Company Coldstream Guards. More than 1,350 soldiers of the Household Division and King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery, including over 300 musicians from the Massed Bands, are also expected to take part. Lining the processional route along The Mall will be 250 soldiers from the Foot Guards.
Members of the Royal Family will appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace and wave to the crowd, who will be hoping to catch a glimpse of the monarch, Queen Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate, and their three children – Louis, Charlotte and George. The RAF is scheduled to carry out a flypast, which will culminate in the Red Arrows unleashing red, white and blue smoke.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority’s flying rules, the flypast for the King’s Birthday will mandate restrictions in the vicinity of the North Sea, East Anglia, Essex, and London to facilitate the flight over the Palace.
Given the large number of aircraft involved, the Secretary of State for Transport has deemed it necessary to introduce the Restriction of Flying Regulations under Article 239 of the Air Navigation order 2016.
One of the key regulations is that pilots must stick to involves maintaining specific altitudes at different times and over different areas.
