The Georgia Supreme Court provided the final nail in the coffin to Fulton County, Georgia, District Attorney Fani Willis and her relentless pursuit against President Donald Trump when it declined to take up her appeal in an election interference case.
In a rebuke of Willis’s attempts to continue prosecuting the case against Trump and others, the Supreme Court declined to hear her appeal after the Georgia Court of Appeals in December disqualified her due to a “significant appearance of impropriety” due to Willis’s romantic relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade, as my RedState colleague Nick Arama reported.

Earlier this month, Willis was finally disqualified from the election interference case against President Donald Trump, with the court citing a “significant appearance of impropriety.’ All her assistants were disqualified as well. While the case wasn’t dismissed, that decision leaves it essentially dead, at least for now. Even CNN threw a fit over how it was dead in the water. That was a pretty big indictment of the case.

Willis in January asked the Georgia Supreme Court to review that ruling, and the high court on Tuesday declined in a 4-3 decision to take up the case. One judge didn’t participate and one judge was disqualified.
That means it will be up to the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council to find another prosecutor to take the case. The council’s executive director, Pete Skandalakis, said Tuesday he will begin searching for a new prosecutor to replace Willis but didn’t know how long that might take.

Before President Trump left for the United Kingdom, he reacted to the Willis news, calling it great.

“Courts just ruled that she is a disaster,” Trump said. “She’s a disaster with a boyfriend. The boyfriend that she paid a billion dollars for his expertise…..She should be prosecuted. Forget about me, what Fani Willis did to innocent people, patriots who love our country. What she did to them by indicting them and destroying them, she should be put in jail—Fani Willis is a criminal.”
Later, Trump posted a long response to the Supreme Court’s ruling on his Truth Social with his unique posting style.

“Willis and her lover, Nathan Wade, who she hired even though he was completely unqualified and had never prosecuted such a case before, blatantly lied, under oath, about their torrid ‘love’ affair, the ridiculous amounts of money she paid him, their Caribbean vacations together, her clear Campaign Finance violations, unlawfully taking money from the honest Taxpayers of Georgia, and, most importantly, about their obsession with doing anything and everything they can to ‘GET TRUMP,’ which included destroying the lives of many other people,” he added.

So much winning. Willis most definitely has been kicked in her fanny.
