In today’s Daily Reflection we explore what motivates us in the “race of life.”
Drawing on the image of running a half marathon, it reflects on how people strive for achievement, approval, or self-worth often trying to prove something to themselves or others.
But this constant striving can be exhausting.
The reflection turns to Jesus as offering a different purpose: having already run the perfect race and secured forgiveness and eternal life through the cross, he frees us from running to prove our worth. Instead, we are invited to live and run for him, motivated by gratitude and love rather than pressure or self-validation.
