“We remember with gratitude, with sorrow, and with hope. Psalm 23 in the Bible begins with the words ‘the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want’.
“In times of war and in times of peace, this psalm has become a comfort to countless soldiers, families and nations.
“This Psalm ends with eternal hope, the hope of heaven, that surely goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives, and we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
