In today’s Daily Reflection, we explore the importance of taking a genuine interest in others and listening what they have to say.
More often than not, those who only care about themselves tend to be awful listeners, poor conversationalists – and all round bores.
In Psalm 10, the author says: “In that pride the wicked don’t seek God in all their thoughts. There’s no room for him.”
The Psalms are saying that people are so self-absorbed they won’t even turn to look up to God, and so they miss out on him. I truly believe, as someone who follows God, that that’s the worst thing they could do.
By missing out on God, they miss on everything they could want or need.
