In today’s GB News Daily Reflection, we remember that when we trust in the Lord, we find resilience amidst heat and droughts.
“There are times when the heat is on and we mustn’t wilt. There are times of drought, and we must cope with what sustenance we have in our current moment.
“I wonder whether resilience has never married more at the exact moment our capacity for resilience has never been lower.
“One of the Bible’s favourite images for the life of faith is a tree. Jeremiah speaks of the person who trusts in God, whose confidence is in the Lord’s. Jeremiah 17, verse eight. They do not fear when the heat comes. Their leaves are always green. They have no worries. In a year of drought, they never fail to bear fruit.”
