Gina Carano and Disney have reached an agreement over her wrongful termination and sex discrimination lawsuit, which she filed after being terminated from the Lucasfilm series “The Mandalorian” over social media posts deemed controversial.
In a statement posted on X on Thursday, the 43-year-old actress celebrated the settlement and confirmed reports that she and Disney/Lucasfilm @disney @Lucasfilm have come to an agreement, “which I believe is the best outcome for all parties involved. I hope this brings some healing to the force,” Carano wrote.

“I want to extend my deepest, most heartfelt gratitude to Elon Musk, @elonmusk, a man I’ve never met, who did this Good Samaritan deed for me in funding my lawsuit,” she added. “Thank you, Mr. [Elon] Musk and @X for backing my case and asking for nothing in return. To my lawyers at @GSchaerr Schaerr|Jaffe who walked me through this unknown territory, thank you for your wisdom and guidance.”
“I am humbled and grateful to God for His love and grace in this outcome,” Carano continued. “I’d like to thank you all for your unrelenting support throughout my life and career; you’ve been the heartbeat that has kept my story alive. I hope to make you proud. I am excited to flip the page and move on to the next chapter. My desires remain in the arts, which is where I hope you will join me. Yes, I’m smiling. From my heart to yours, Gina.”
Hours earlier, Carano made a cryptic post about telling the truth.
… and the truth shall set you free. 😊🫶

“… and the truth shall set you free,” the actress wrote.
Her posts followed a statement from a Lucasfilm spokesperson to The Wrap about the undisclosed settlement with Carano.
“We have reached an agreement with Gina Carano to resolve the issues in her pending lawsuit against the companies,” a Lucasfilm spokesperson said. “Ms. Carano was always well respected by her directors, co-stars, and staff, and she worked hard to perfect her craft while treating her colleagues with kindness and respect.”
The end of the statement really stood out to me, and it said that with the suit concluded, “we look forward to identifying opportunities to work together with Ms. Carano in the near future.”
That is clearly something Carano has hoped for since she was let go by Disney in 2021.

My RedState colleague Brandon Morse previously reported on the lawsuit and firing of the “Star Wars” series actress.
Carano was terminated by Disney over a post she made warning the people how seeing each other as evil based on beliefs can lead to awful outcomes and using the German people’s disdain for the Jewish community after years of propaganda — which led to the rounding up of Jewish people and concentration camps during the 1940s — as an example of how this ends badly.
Carano was in the left’s crosshairs over refusing to bend the knee to them in various ways, and they were clamoring for her firing at that time. Disney, being the far-left company that it was, seemed ready to do so and just needed a reason. Carano’s post ended up being that reason, which many people identified as being a bad excuse to do so, especially since her colleague, Pascal, made a post not long before hers that did exactly what Disney was accusing Carano of.
In 2024, Carano filed her wrongful termination suit against the House of Mouse, thanks to funding from Musk for legal expenses. After several failed attempts by Disney to have the suit thrown out of court, the case was proceeding with a trial date set initially for September 2025, but recently moved to early 2026, before news of the settlement surfaced on Thursday.
