As a kid — unlike more than a few of my buddies — I was never interested in Scouting. (Or having a paper route.) While team sports were my thing, I had several friends and cousins who went the whole Scouting route — from Cub Scouts to Eagle Scouts — and I can still remember admiring the lessons they learned about life, and the practical things they learned to do.
While I don’t know much about what Scouts — both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts — are taught or how they’re led today, I do know that leftism, including “Pride” and the concept of “LGBTQ+ culture,” has crept into (been forced into) Scouting America, increasingly.
Moreover, as this article suggests, the issue apparently remains alive and well in the organization during the Second Age of Trump.
As reported by NJ.com, the leader of a Girl Scout Troop in New Jersey alleges she was removed from her position due to her social media posts that questioned the organization’s perceived shift towards LGBTQ+ activism and its introduction of “gender sexuality alliance” clubs to scouts.
According to GSA Network, “GSA clubs” are as follows:
Genders & Sexualities Alliances, or GSAs for short, are student-run organizations that unite LGBTQ+ and allied youth to build community and organize around issues impacting them in their schools and communities.
GSAs have evolved beyond their traditional role to serve as safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth in middle schools and high schools, and have emerged as vehicles for deep social change related to racial, gender, and educational justice.
A far cry from selling Girl Scout Cookies and learning to tie cool knots in Boy Scouts, huh?
Anyway, former troop leader Alexandra Bougher, who is also the Bergen County, NJ, chapter chair of Moms for Liberty — an organization that bills itself as “dedicated to fighting for the survival of America by unifying, educating and empowering parents to defend their parental rights at all levels of government” — alleges she was removed in a phone call on Wednesday by two members of the council of the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey.
Bougher told Newsmax2 she shared her experience on social media because other Scouting parents were also upset.
We saw kind of a change in our town where they [Girl Scouts of the U.S.A.) would have town events at a church that actually displayed Pride flags, progressive pride flags… they had a trans-identifying 13-year-old who would come and do an event there, promising music, ice cream, pizza.
I couldn’t even bring my kids to these town events because it was complete inappropriate for children to see — they shouldn’t be around anything sexual. I called them out on it, this past June.
They said ‘all the troops are going to be doing is LBG — however many letters they have — encouraging that all of the town troops would be doing it. I shared it because a lot of the parents were quite upset. One parent even said ‘I want to pull my daughter out of Girl Scouts.’
Hardly a shock, is it? Yet, it’s still disgusting.
📣Non-Binary Scouts?🤡

Bougher posted on Facebook this week:
I’m proud to stand up for the safety of our children and will always stand up to adults that push woke indoctrination to minors. You will not groom kids on my watch.
Bougher also said in a phone interview with NJ Advance Media that her troop would not participate in such events.
I reposted it and I said, ‘Just to be clear, my troop will not be doing this.’ I guess that’s the one [that got her removed]. They actually refused to tell me which one it was, but I’m assuming it was that one since it was pulled off their site.
This is not what Girl Scouts is about. It is highly inappropriate to talk about anything sexual in nature with small children. That’s not the role of a leader of a Girl Scout leader, and that’s not happening during our meetings.
Finally, the former troop leader said she noticed the Girl Scouts was becoming a more activist organization several years ago, but she continued to lead her troop, while refusing to bring girls of the troop to any of the LGBTQ events (emphasis, mine).
I saw the change with Girl Scouts a few years ago when some troops were taking their kids to Black Lives Matter marches, and that was not only OK, but they were sort of pushing it like ‘this is so great, get them into activism.’
And we were like, this is not what Girl Scouts is about, and it’s also dangerous — bringing young children there. We sort of saw that change and some other things too, but you know, I kept my my mouth shut, I kept my troop — they’re all friends with each other. They can do those events and we’ll do our own thing, you know.
Yeah, no.
“Inclusivity” — the “I” in DEI — doesn’t mean to the left what it means to the objective and moral among us. To leftists, it means “This is how we do things. If you refuse to join us, you will be discredited, ridiculed, ignored, or ultimately be destroyed, if necessary.”

Meanwhile, something as wholesome as Scouting — which untold millions of kids have enjoyed for generations — is far less today about making cool knots and selling Girl Scout cookies than about the “wonders” of DEI and LGBTQ activism.
Who’d a thunk it?
