The Director of National Intelligence has declassified a 2020 House Intelligence Committee report that includes information gleaned from Russia’s intelligence service. The Russians hacked the Democratic National Committee’s files–remember that?–and found DNC documents about Hillary Clinton and her campaign:
The revelation came from a long-classified House Intelligence Committee report made public by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on Wednesday. The report, dated Sept. 18, 2020, says Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service accessed internal Democratic National Committee communications in 2016 that contained detailed allegations about Clinton’s physical and psychological health, including claims she was on a daily regimen of “heavy tranquilizers” and suffering from a mix of “intensified psycho-emotional problems.”
Obama and senior Democratic Party officials found the claims to be “extraordinarily alarming” and believed it could affect her election prospects, though the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service’s alleged findings were never made public.
The communications also referenced multiple chronic illnesses, such as type 2 diabetes, ischemic heart disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and deep vein thrombosis, that Clinton, who turned 69 years old that year, was suffering from. Russian intelligence reportedly described her as “obsessed with a thirst for power” and emotionally erratic, according to page 17 of the House Intelligence Committee report.
The Russian intelligence report also says that Russian intelligence possessed a Clinton campaign email “discussing a plan approved by Secretary Clinton to link Putin and Russian hackers to candidate Trump in order to distract attention” from Clinton’s email server scandal.
Are these reports credible? Certainly, up to a point. Remember when Clinton collapsed into a campaign van, and had to be helped up stairs? But 2016 was not 2020. Hillary didn’t run a basement campaign; she endured the rigors of a normal campaign, as best I recall, and did not fall apart during a presidential debate.
What I really want to know is, why was this House committee report classified for five years? Apart from Hillary’s health, the report includes information on the Russia collusion hoax which, while duplicative, shed light on the fraud that the Democrats continued to perpetrate, right up to the present.
The New York Times covered DNI Tulsi Gabbard’s press conference yesterday, and the statements she has made about the Russia collusion hoax. I don’t see that the Times has specifically addressed the Russian memo about Hillary Clinton’s health, but this is how they begin their story on Gabbard’s press conference:
The Justice Department announced on Wednesday the formation of a task force to look into unsubstantiated allegations by President Trump that President Barack Obama and his aides ordered an investigation into the 2016 Trump campaign’s connections to Russia to destroy Mr. Trump.
The announcement, which came in an ambiguous, bare-bones statement on the department’s website, was a continuation of Mr. Trump’s campaign of retribution. It also represented yet another Trump pivot away from the political morass of the Jeffrey Epstein files in targeting Mr. Obama, whose presidency set off a wave of reactionary anger that helped propel Mr. Trump from a punchline to political dominance.
This is a “news” story by the Times. It is always useful to remember that the Left inhabits a parallel universe with, often, little resemblance to our own.
