Horror as man ‘raped and robbed’ by another man in UK town | UK | News

Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to trace following an alleged rape and robbery in Crawley, West Sussex. The victim, a man in his 30s, was reportedly attacked at an address on the town’s High Street in the early hours of October 15.

During the incident, the suspect is alleged to have stolen the victim’s watch and cash before fleeing the scene. Sussex Police said the victim is receiving support from specially trained officers while detectives continue their investigation.

They confirmed that officers are carrying out extensive enquiries to identify the man captured in the CCTV images.

Detective Inspector Becki Buckley said: “We are continuing to make extensive enquiries in this case and are keen to trace this man. If you know who he is or have any information about him, please contact us.”

A statement released by Sussex Police called on anyone with information to come forward.

It read: “Detectives have released CCTV images of a man they want to trace in connection with a report of a rape and robbery in Crawley. 

“We received a report that a man aged in his 30s had been attacked at an address in the High Street on 15 October in the early hours. The suspect also stole his watch and cash before making off. 

“The victim is being supported by specially trained officers. If you have any information which could help our investigation, please report online or phone 101 quoting serial 119 of 15/10.”

Authorities are urging anyone who recognises the man or who may have relevant information to come forward, stressing that all information will be treated in confidence. Police continue to work to ensure the victim receives the support they need while tracing the suspect.
