Indiana Woman Finds Out the Price for Threatening to Assassinate President Trump – RedState

U.S. Attorney General for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro announced that an Indiana woman was arrested in D.C., charged with two federal crimes after she allegedly threatened to assassinate President Donald Trump.

In a video posted on Monday on X, Pirro talked about the arrest in D.C. on Saturday, August 16, of Nathalie Rose Jones, 50, of Lafayette, Indiana, in D.C.

Authorities said Jones traveled from New York to D.C., where she was taken into custody after she made a “series of threats on social media in which she threatened to kill President Trump.”

Pirro made it clear that if you threatened the life of the President, there would be a price to pay. The Attorney General said Jones faces charges for “knowingly and willfully threatening to take the life of the President of the United States.”

“Threatening the life of the President is one of the most serious crimes and one that will be met with swift and unwavering prosecution,” Pirro wrote alongside her post on X. “Make no mistake—justice will be served.”

“We extend our deepest gratitude to our dedicated law enforcement partners, especially the Secret Service Special Agents from New York and Washington, D.C., for their tireless commitment to protecting our leaders and our nation,” she added, noting that Jones will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Shortly after her post, a press release from the DOJ provided more information about the charges against Jones.

It read:

Jones was charged in a complaint in U.S. District Court with threatening to take the life of, kidnap, or inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States, and transmitting in interstate commerce communications containing threats to kidnap any person or any threat to injure the person of another.

The release broke down several different disturbing communications allegedly involving Jones. The following part of the release stood out, which involved how she wanted to have President Trump “eliminated,” as Pirro stated.

The press release read:

On August 15, the U.S. Secret Service conducted a voluntary interview with Jones, during which she stated the President was a “terrorist” and a “nazi,” that if she had the opportunity, she would take the President’s life and would kill him at “the compound” if she had to, that she had a “bladed object,” which she said was the weapon she would use to “carry out her mission of killing” the President, and that she wanted to “avenge all the lives lost during the Covid-19 pandemic,” which she atrributed to President Trump’s administration and its position on vaccinations.

It went on:

On August 16, Jones joined a protest demonstration that started at Dupont Circle, and circumnavigated the White House complex. Following the march, the U.S. Secret Service interviewed Jones for a second time, during which she admitted that she had made threats towards President Trump during her interview the previous day. She denied having any present desire to harm the President of the United States. Law enforcement arrested her and she confirmed that she was the owner of the Facebook user account “Nath Jones” and that she had posted the threatening statements.

In a second post, Pirro talked about the recent crackdown in D.C. after President Trump took action in the nation’s capital and federalized D.C. law enforcement.

Pirro said the surge in law enforcement in D.C. has resulted in “400 arrests” since Trump took action on August 11, with “127” arrests over the weekend.

She said they had also seized nearly two dozen “illegal guns” with arrests for homicide, sex predators, illegals, and drug traffickers.

“If you want to be in D.C. and you are a criminal, you are not welcome,” Pirro continued.

It’s good to see Trump and his administration aren’t messing around with these people after President Trump faced numerous assassination attempts in 2024, including the tragic one in Butler, Pennsylvania, that killed firefighter Corey Comperatore.
