Iranian Human-Smuggling Ring Busted in Los Angeles – RedState

Iran has recently suffered quite a beating at the hands of the Israelis and the United States Air Force and Navy. But the mullahs are still in charge. Iran is still a primary state sponsor of terrorism, and now, while they may not be on the cusp of being a nuclear power, thanks to an appropriate application of high explosives, they are still a threat to the Western world.

Case in point: Two people have been busted at a Los Angeles house that federal agents say was an Iranian human-smuggling operation.

Federal officials arrested two people on Friday at a Los Angeles house tied to a suspected Iranian human smuggling network said to have been “repeatedly used to harbor illegal entrants linked to terrorism.”

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced the arrests in an X post on Friday, saying that the operation was part of a broader national security effort involving multiple federal agencies.

“CBP executed a federal search warrant today at a human smuggling hub in Los Angeles tied to national security threats,” the agency said. “Two individuals were arrested during the operation, which was led by CBP’s Special Response Team with support from Border Patrol tactical units and Air and Marine Operations.”

Note that wording: “illegal entrants linked to terrorism.” That means that this house and the people arrested therein were engaged in smuggling Iranian terrorist operatives into the United States. And this one location alone may be responsible for bringing in not only Iranians, but also terror operatives from other countries:

The detentions follow the arrests of seven Iranian nationals at the same location earlier last week, CBP said, adding that the suspects were on the FBI Terror Watchlist and connected to an Iranian human trafficking hub.

“The location has been repeatedly used to harbor illegal entrants linked to terrorism,” CBP said.

“Intelligence indicates the smuggling network has trafficked individuals from adversarial regimes, including Iran—posing direct risks to U.S. national security,” CBP Assistant Commissioner Hilton Beckham said in a statement to Fox News Digital on Sunday.

Boiled down: These are bad people who wish harm on the United States and American citizens. This is what Iran is up to, and nukes or no nukes, they are still determined to do American harm. They may not be so great at building nukes or even in keeping their top military brass from being converted into scattered fertilizer by Israeli explosives. Asymmetric warfare, on the other hand, is something they are good at. It’s very likely – I’d say it’s very nearly certain – that they have brought in several autonomous cells, who will act independently, if and when they find an opportunity.

You don’t need a bunch of gold-braid-encrusted generals to pull off something like that. All you need is a bunch of not-so-smart operators, some simple instructions, and a pre-arranged “go” command.

Bear in mind also that even the most virulent Iranian terror cells may well find some assistance on American college campuses, where there are ample numbers of young useful idiots wearing keffiyehs and shouting about the need for a global intifada.

The erasure of Iran’s nuclear program was a great victory; don’t get me wrong. But that was a battle. The war continues, and as we see, some of the enemy’s soldiers are right here, right now, among us.

This isn’t over. Not by a long shot.
