Iranian State Television, Put to Good Use

You may have seen a video clip of an announcer on Iranian state television, crying as he announced the death of Ayatollah Khamenei. My reaction was: why is state television still on the air? Given the pinpoint destruction of Iran’s military assets, we surely could have put it out of business.

But there may have been a better alternative:

Great idea! I assume that we and the Israelis have the ability to hack into Iranian television’s broadcast facilities and replace their programming with ours. If so, we should do it. Nothing would more dramatically show that the regime has lost control, and encourage Iranians to effective rebellion, than taking over their state media.

One more thing, more or less related: President Trump has said that whoever is now in charge in Iran has reached out to him for some sort of negotiations. For God’s sake, don’t do it! The mullahcracy must be ground into the dust and the Iranian people allowed to take the lead in initiating a new age in their history. Anything that allows Muslims having anything to do with the evil days of the mullahs to remain in power, or to have influence of any kind, should be out of the question.
