Israel has launched a series of strikes on Tehran, hitting the defence ministry and multiple fuel depots, causing huge fires to break out.
The Israeli defence minister, Israel Katz, warned that “Tehran is burning” as images showed fires across the Iranian capital.
Iran said that the depots were hit by Israel, but the “situation was under control”.
An Israeli military spokesman said Tel Aviv will continue to attack and destroy Iranian surface-to-surface missile sites, but warned that Tehran still has an arsenal that can cause “grave damage” to Israel.

The escalation in the Middle East comes after Iran launched hundreds of missiles on June 13, as Israel responded by attacking over 150 targets in Iran.
Yesterday evening, Iran launched strikes into Israel, killing at least 10 people overnight according to local media, with dozens more injured or missing.
Six died in the city of Bat Yam, on the southern outskirts of Tel Aviv. They included two children, killed when their apparent building took a direct hit.
Emergency services are still searching through rubble for others believed to have been in the building.
Four people also died in the northern town of Tamra, when missiles destroyed a number of homes. At least 170 are believed to have been injured in the strikes, with 20 people thought to be trapped beneath the rubble.

Iran launched two waves of missiles at Israel, with explosions heard across the country overnight.
Tehran has not given a total number of deaths since the UN envoy for the state reported 78 had been killed, two days ago.
Yemen’s Houthis supported Iran overnight, with several ballistic missiles launched towards central Israel’s Jaffa, a military spokesman stated.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards warned Israel that if their hostilities continue, Iran’s attacks “will become heavier and more extensive”.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran’s attacks are based on “self-defence”, and Israeli attacks would never have happened without US support.

UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy has spoken to his Israeli counterpart, Gideon Saar, expressing his concerns for the Israeli citizens and reiterated the need for “de-escalation of tensions in the Middle East”.
Lammy added: “Now is the time for restraint, calm and a return to diplomacy.”
US President Donald Trump said if Iran attacks America in any way, they would feel the full might of the US military “at levels never seen before”.
Trump said: “We can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict!”
Nuclear talks were initially planned to happen between the US and Iran today, but have since been cancelled.
Araghchi stated that the next round of nuclear talks with the US could have happened, but Israel is against that. He added that the US should condemn Israel’s strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
