Wow. This Labour Government has just let down the British people all over again.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer has struck a “one in, one out, shake it all about” migration deal. You might call it an exchange programme for illegal migrants—with France’s Emmanuel Macron. And in my view, it’s the ultimate gimmick.
Yet now Labour has come up with the ultimate gimmick—and this deal makes a mockery of what the British people actually want. We don’t want one in, one out. We want none in and all the illegal migrants out.
We want the estimated 1.2 million illegal migrants currently living in Britain to be removed. We want our culture and our way of life to be protected, to be promoted not to be continuously eroded by uncontrolled mass migration.
‘A comprehensive approach? This is completely bananas’

Keir Starmer’s spokesperson has insisted that the migrant agreement with Macron will be more successful than the Conservative Party’s Rwanda scheme. But let’s not forget: the Rwanda plan only resulted in four migrants being deported—and they left voluntarily. So the bar is already incredibly low.
Tackling illegal migration is crucial for both the UK and France, as more migrants continue to flood into Europe from overseas. But today, Labour Home Secretary Yvette Cooper admitted they haven’t even figured out how many migrants will actually be returned.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
A comprehensive approach? This is completely bananas.
The stark reality is that it’s estimated only 50 illegal migrants per week will be returned to France. That’s 1.5 per cent of the total number who have arrived on small boats since this crisis began. 1.5 per cent. I struggle to grasp how returning just 50 people a week will make any dent in this crisis—when hundreds arrive every single day.
I didn’t think Keir Starmer could make a worse deal than the Chagos deal, but this returns agreement could become a major pull factor for thousands more asylum seekers. Under the plan, Britain will now have to accept some asylum seekers from France—those with family ties to the UK or those judged at risk of exploitation by people smugglers.
Asylum seekers will even be able to apply online to be relocated.
And during a press conference this week, Sir Keir defended letting migrants in.
Meanwhile, it’s been revealed exclusively by GB News that private companies have secured over £5billion in UK Government contracts to provide border security services. The average contract is worth £27million, costing the UK taxpayer £73 per person covering everything from drones in the Channel to marquees at processing centres.
The National Audit Office has separately estimated that this crisis could cost £15billion over the next ten years in accommodation alone.
The deal is already sparking backlash including, unsurprisingly, from the French. Both the head of the northern France region and the Mayor of Calais said today that this deal, agreed by Keir Starmer, will only draw more migrants to the Channel coast.
The French are saying what is obvious: Keir Starmer’s dodgy deal on the small boats crisis will only lead to a surge in migration, as the prospect of asylum in the UK is now formally back on the table.

GETTY
I don’t know about you but I don’t want an exchange programme for illegal migrants who’ve broken our laws. I don’t want another country deciding who gets to enter the UK.
I want secure borders. Now.
We need to leave the European Convention on Human Rights. We need to reform the Human Rights Act. And we need to start making serious strides towards delivering real change—the change that the hardworking, taxpaying British majority deserve and need.
