Keys to success

Serial-Tesla-vandal/MN-government-employee Dylan Adams was given a one-day suspension from work as “punishment.”

One day.

I wrote a column for the New York Post back in April about the incident, under the headline,

Minnesota DA’s woke two-tier justice prizes Tesla violence above all

My angle was the soft-on-crime local prosecutor Mary Moriarty declined to charge Adams criminally for his vandalism spree, but did charge another hapless young gal for a lesser crime, but a less political agenda.

You will recall the heady days of March 2025: Elon Musk and his DOGE reform effort strode aside the world as a Colossus, inspiring fear and loathing in sensitive men of a certain political bent.

Almost a year later, local media have an update to the story. From affiliate FOX-9 TV,

MN state employee who keyed Teslas, causing $20K damage, punished with 1-day suspension

“Punished” with an extra day off. Fox 9 includes in their story a nine-page report, commissioned by Adams’ employer, the state Dept. of Human Services (DHS). The report bears the name of a local law firm. Who knows how much it cost to produce. Portions of the report are redacted.

The report represents the equivalent of the proverbial “strongly-worded letter” to be placed in his “permanent record.”

Adams is described in the law firm’s report as a team leader. The guy was 33-years-old at the time of the vandalism incidents. He should know better.

Your tax dollars at work.
