Leftist students harass Catholic men protesting drag queen story hour: ‘Never heard so much profanity’

(LifeSiteNews) — Young women at Loyola University Chicago were captured on film raging at volunteers with Tradition Family Property (TFP) Student Action during their protest against drag queen story hour.

Young men dressed in suits and red sashes assembled outside at the Jesuit school, holding up rosaries as they prayed them in reparation for a drag show that took place at the university the previous night. They carried signs with messages such as “Honk against transgender agenda for children” and “Honk to protect children’s innocence.”

One sign read “LGBT grooming = Child Abuse.” Two men also held up a larger banner that read, “Protect children in schools and libraries: Stop the ravages of LGBT ideology.”

Nathan Kinley, a TFP volunteer, explained that they began their peaceful protest on campus but were forced by the vice dean of the university to move off campus to a public sidewalk.

“You allow a drag show but not the Rosary?” Kinley asked the vice dean, who he says completely ignored him.

A group of curious students and leftist counter-protestors followed the young men to watch them. As video footage shows, many of the young women seethed with anger toward the TFP volunteers, screaming obscenities at them, giving them the finger and in at least one case spitting on them.

At least several angrily claimed that God supports homosexuality and transgenderism.

One girl exclaimed, “You’re going against God, you f****** idiots.” Another girl screamed at the young men, “This does not say that!” pointing to her own Bible and then pointing to their signs.

One irate young woman yelled at one of the TFP volunteers, “I’m a lesbian because God made me this way.”

“God loves the sinner, but he hates the sin,” the young man responded.

“Then I hate you!” I hate f****** you and I hate God. God loves me for me,” she exclaimed.

“I had never heard so much profanity in my life. It was a hellish display of anger,” Kinley remarked. He shared that several female students “made sexual remarks and gestures” and one said, “I am a teacher, and I groom minors!”

He pointed out that when the TFP volunteers invoked the help of Saint Ignatius of Loyola and Our Lady, Virgin Most Pure, the leftist mob “booed in response. ”

“They even held up pornographic material, including a book read to children at Drag Queen Story Hours,” Kinley added.

“Rosary on Jesuit Campus is like an exorcism on the devil,” TFP Student Action wrote in a caption on a video clip from the day’s footage.

Pray for the restoration of Catholic education,” the TFP video documenting the protest concludes.

Like most universities founded as Catholic institutions, Loyola Chicago has lost touch with its Catholic values despite still proclaiming itself to be a “Jesuit, Catholic” university that “seek(s) God in all things.”

Loyola is not recognized as having a strong Catholic identity by the Cardinal Newman Society, an organization that assesses the moral values of colleges and universities.

This year is not the first time Loyola Chicago has hosted a drag queen show. In 2023, the university hosted an on-campus “Drag Race,” inspiring protests by three students who were in turn harassed by 60 counter-protesters.
