A crash on a major motorway prompted severe delays for motorists travelling southbound on the M11. Long queues were seen forming on the motorway after the incident on Saturday morning sparked temporary closure of two lanes between junctions 9 and 8. At approximately 11.30am, National Highways said there were delays of 50 minutes against expected traffic, although the situation was set to improve as the lanes had reopened.
A motorist travelling on the opposite side of the M11 who saw the aftermath of the incident told the Express: “Queue is going back miles. We’re fortunately going in the other direction.”
