The M25 and M26 motorways has reopened in both directions after a woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: “The M25 has now reopened in both directions between junction 5 and 6. Just after 5.30pm police were called following a report of a concern for safety on the clockwise carriageway of the M25 between junction 5 and 6.
“The road was closed in both directions whilst officers and an air ambulance attended the scene. A woman in her 40s has been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries. Her next of kin have been made aware. Thank you for your patience whilst we responded to this incident.”
