Motorists on the M5 are facing long delays this morning after a crash in the northbound carriageway caused all lanes to be closed. The collision involving a single car has caused congestion and queues to build between Junction 14 in Thornbury and Junction 13 in Stroud.
Emergency services and National Highways are currently at the scene and are working to make the scene safe after the vehicle left the carriageway. Traffic monitoring site Inrix added: “M5 Northbound blocked, stationary traffic due to accident, a vehicle that has left the carriageway involved from J14 B4509 (Thornbury / Falfield) to J13 A419 (Stroud). Ongoing since around 05:40 this morning.”
