Drivers on the M60 are experiencing delays as a police incident from J1 (Stockport Pyramid) to J25 A560 Crookilley Way (Brinnington) sparks long queues.
Traffic has been stopped on part of the M60 and a major Greater Manchester road has been closed following a ‘police incident’.
The nearby A6 Wellington Road North has also been shut in both directions between the A5145 Travis Brow Link Road and A560 Leyland Street. Both closures are linked, according to the Inrix traffic monitoring service.
Further details about the nature of the incident are yet to be confirmed.
