Maine Teacher Calls For Murder Of Trump Supporters, Top Officials In Unhinged Rants

A high school English teacher in Maine has allegedly called for the Secret Service and U.S. military to assassinate President Donald Trump, his supporters, and top Trump advisors.

JoAnna St. Germain, who teaches at Waterville Senior High School, appears to have made the concerning remarks on her Facebook page, prompting investigations by police and the school district where she is employed.

“The Secret Service has the perfect opportunity, if they choose to step up and take it. You are the ones with power. Coordinate,” she reportedly wrote in a post published Tuesday. “Take out every single person who supports Trump’s illegal, immoral, unconstitutional acts. Look at the sycophants and give them what they’re asking for.”

“I’m not talking about assassinating a president,” St. Germain appeared to rationalize. “A president is a person duly elected by the American people. Tr*mp has shamelessly bragged openly about stealing the election. He is making plans to give himself a third term.”

“Secret Service, you are Americans. My beloved military, you are Americans. We, the people, are counting on you,” the post continued. “If I had the skill set required, I would take them out myself.”

After immense backlash, St. Germain doubled down on her alleged calls for assassination, but narrowed down the number of Trump supporters she wants murdered to Trump’s top advisors.

“I am so sorry you took that post to mean that all Republicans should die,” she reportedly posted Wednesday. “I have no beef with Republicans. I have no beef with MAGA. I meant that those in the room with Trump, who are permitting and approving his egregious actions, need to be held accountable.”

The teacher further said that she’s aware she might lose her job, but is “not backtracking a single thing.”

“I believe Trump and every sycophant he has surrounded himself with (this is not you – if you’re reading this, this doesn’t apply to you. You are beneath his notice and mine) needs to die,” St. Germain’s post read. “I believe this with the same forceful belief that Hitler and his sycophants needed to die, before they murdered 6 million innocent Jewish persons.”

“People are quite angry with me for stating openly that Trump and his cronies need to die,” St. Germain said in another post published Wednesday. “Gosh, I fear I may have ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’!”

“I’m going to hold your hand when I say this, and I say it with my full chest: F*** fascism. F*** a country that suppresses the media. F*** a country that moves to weaken the education system in order to produce weak-minded people who will follow orders,” she said. “F*** a country that sends innocent women and men to die thinking they’re defending democracy when they’re really defending the rights of corporations to f*** over the very people lining their pockets.”

“If you’re mad at this post, knowing that I just threw away a decade of experience teaching the truth, fully knowing that my superintendent will have to fire me? If you’re mad that I’m speaking truth to power? F*** you,” St. Germain posted. “I’ll still take a bullet to keep your child safe.”

Again clarifying her position, the high school teacher posted, “To be clear, publicly: I knew what I was doing when I did it. I’m not the least f***ing sorry.”

An email was sent to Waterville parents by the superintendent on Wednesday, saying that an investigation has been opened into the posts presumably made by St. Germain, according to The Maine Wire.

Seemingly acknowledging that the email was about her, St. Germain captioned The Maine Wire’s post, “I chose to speak as publicly as I could. I am not afraid of you. My superintendent is Peter Hallen. My principal is Brian Laramee.”

Police have also opened an investigation into St. Germain’s posts, according to the Portland Post Herald.
