A man has been charged with raping a teenager after an alleged attack outside London’s Euston Station.
The 19-year-old woman told police she had been raped at around 3.30am on Euston Road in Camden on Thursday.
A crime scene was put in place after Metropolitan Police officers attended the location.
On Saturday, Hassan Sarout, 21, of no fixed address, was charged with rape.
The suspect is set to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Monday, the Met has said.
The 19-year-old girl is being supported by specialist officers from the force.
A Met Police spokesman said: “Police investigating a report of rape which occurred on Euston Road in Camden have charged a man.
“Hassan Sarout, 21 of no fixed address was charged with rape on Saturday, October 11.
The suspect is set to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Monday

“A 19-year-old woman reported at 3.31am on Thursday, October 9 that she had been raped in the early hours of the morning.
“She continues to be supported by specialist officers.”
The force has confirmed that enquiries are still ongoing and any witnesses to the incident have been urged to come forward.

In 2023, over 8,800 rape incidents were reported to the Met Police according to data obtained through Freedom of Information requests to the force and Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
The data also showed 11,000 other crimes relating to sexual offences had been reported to the Met that year, with almost a quarter being reported by those under the age of 18.
According to the Office of National Statistics (ONS), 6.54 million women in England and Wales had been sexually assaulted or rape since the age of 16 as of March 2022.
The same figures also revealed that 798,000 women had been raped or sexually assaulted in the year ending March 2022, roughly one in 30 women in England and Wales.
Rape offences in England and Wales have sky rocketed since 2012/13, when there was just over 16,000 cases reported according to Statista.
However, in 2024/25 the figure has reached more than 71,000 offences – an almost 80 per cent rise.
