One resident, who lives beside the cordon, has claimed knife crime is ‘so frequent’ in the area.
The local told MEN that he saw “a young lad on the floor”.
He said: “It kicked off around an hour and a half ago. We knew as soon as we heard the sirens coming, then saw the young lad on the floor.
“The paramedics turned up, then the advanced paramedics arrived. He’s been taken to hospital.”
He added: “Knife crime is so frequent in the area. A few weeks ago a similar incident happened and it was only yesterday that two lads in Levenshulme were stabbed.”
