Meghan Markle has shared her three mood-boosting rituals to start the day, in a new message sent to her As Ever followers right after it was announced she had parted ways with Netflix. On Friday night, both the Duchess of Sussex and the streaming giant announced they’re ending their partnership for As Ever, with the Duchess’s spokesperson saying the brand is “ready to stand on its own” and the streamer saying they are glad to have “played a role in bringing [Meghan’s] vision to life”.
A few hours later, the Duchess sent a new newsletter to her brand’s followers, revealing her favourite ways to “brighten any day”. Meghan said that she likes to embrace with a loved one, take a moment for herself and share something sweet.
The message read: “Start with the following steps to brighten any day:

“1. Embrace a Loved One: Begin the morning by sharing a moment with someone dear to you.
“2. Take a Moment for Yourself: Light a candle, or linger with a chapter of a good book before the day begins. Mark your place for later with the ‘Hold That Thought’ Leather Bookmark.
“3. Share Something Sweet: Sprinkle Flower Sprinkles over blueberry pancakes, or add a spoonful of Strawberry Spread and cream to warm golden toast.”
It came after her spokesperson said As Ever is “ready to stand on its own” after its partnership with Netflix ended.
The streaming firm had partnered with Meghan’s jam-selling venture As Ever when it launched last year.
But figures showed earlier this year that the Duchess’s Netflix show failed to crack the top 1,000 most-watched programmes on the platform.

The second instalment of With Love, Meghan was the 1,124th most-watched show between July and December 2025, with two million views, according to data released by Netflix.
A spokesperson for As ever said: “As ever is grateful for Netflix’s partnership through launch and our first year. We have experienced meaningful and rapid growth and As ever is now ready to stand on its own. We have an exciting year ahead and can’t wait to share more.”
Netflix’s statement said: “Meghan’s passion for elevating everyday moments in beautiful yet simple ways inspired the creation of the As ever brand, and we are glad to have played a role in bringing that vision to life.
“As it was always intended, Meghan will continue growing the brand and take it into its next chapter independently, and we look forward to celebrating how she continues to bring joy to households around the world.”
Netflix downgraded the Sussexes’ lucrative deal from 2020, reported to be worth around £74million, to a “first-look” basis one last year.
Meghan and the Duke of Sussex signed a contract thought to be worth more than 100 million US dollars (£74 million) with Netflix after quitting as senior working royals in 2020.
It meant that Netflix would have the first option on Harry and Meghan’s projects with their Archewell production company.
