Meghan Markle has been urged to take business advice from Kris Jenner after her own project flops this year. The Duchess of Sussex has had a busy year so far after launching a new cooking show on Netflix, titled with Love, Meghan, a new lifestyle brand, As Ever and a new podcast series, Confessions of a Female Founder.

But her projects did not appear to capture consumers’ hearts. With Love, Meghan was renewed for a second series but plummeted in rankings and viewing, while her podcast show did not get renewed as the Duchess claimed she wanted to focus on her brand before launching anything new. As Ever has had four product launches so far and, apart from the last one, was criticised over its stock levels after the first three sold out in minutes.

Others have blasted the Duchess for not having an obvious niche for As Ever.

Meanwhile, Meghan’s relationship with the Kardashians jumped into the spotlight recently, after the Duchess sent As Ever goodie baskets to both Khloe Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner.

Following that, reports claimed that Meghan wants to work with another one of Ms Jenner’s children, Kim Kardashian, with sources saying that she would have to go through her mother first.

Now, a PR specialist has weighed in on whether Meghan Markle should really seek business advice from Kris Jenner.

Nick Ede, a Brand and Culture expert, told The Express that Ms Jenner would give Meghan the ultimate boost in making her brand a household name.

He explained: “Kris Jenner is the queen of branding and has helped to build billion-dollar empires for her children.

“Kris knows first-hand how to navigate fame, the media and branding, and I think she’s the perfect person to help Meghan get to where she wants to be.”

Mr Ede said Meghan’s branding strategy for As Ever has not been successful and it’s still “confusing” to a lot of people.

He said: “I don’t think Meghan’s strategy for building her brand As Ever has been particularly successful and her own personal brand is confusing to many people so someone like Kris could really take control and give her the advice she needs to become a household name for all the right reasons.”
