Meghan Markle’s ‘big plans for Harry’ to take his mind off | Royal | News

Meghan Markle is said to be planning a summer of fun for Prince Harry in order to take his mind off the failed reconciliation with his family. The Duke of Sussex has spoken openly about his desire to reconcile with his family in the UK – but revealed in an interview with the BBC last month that King Charles is no longer on speaking terms with him.

Speaking to OK!, Meghan is reportedly planning a host of trips with Harry and their children to take her husband’s mind off the failed reconciliation. The insider said: “She [Meghan] wants to go to Napa with Harry, do wine tastings, she wants to go to Big Sur and other parts of Northern California with the kids. And she and Harry are even talking about visiting Canada.”

As per the insider, Harry and Meghan also have a “standing invite” to visit Katharine McPhee and David Foster, who has been dubbed Harry’s “second father”.

The insider added: “The other option is going to cottage country north of Toronto; they have friends with big spreads on Lake Muskoka that they can visit.”

The source also revealed that Meghan is keen to make a “big effort to prop up” her husband, and she wants to “remind him that he’s got all he needs with her and the kids and their beautiful life in America”.

They also described a holiday with their children – Prince Archie, 6, and four-year-old Princess Lilibet – will allow them to “bond as a family and unwinding after a hectic time for both of them.”

These comments come just weeks after the family paid a visit to Disneyland for Lilibet’s birhday on June 4.

Speaking to the BBC about his family, Harry said: “I don’t know how much longer my father has, he won’t speak to me because of this security stuff. It would be nice to reconcile.”

King Charles was reportedly left “frustrated and upset” at Harry’s most recent interview, whist one of Prince William‘s friends spoke to Daily Beast.

The friend said that if William did wish to reconcile, “a period of silence would have been the right thing to do.”
