A student in Liverpool has expressed her concerns for her safety in the city as she attended one of anti-migrant demonstrations across the country.
Speaking to GB News, the student told reporter Sophie Reaper that illegal migrant housing has been placed “next to her university”, making her feel “unsafe” when travelling there.

Outlining her reasons for attending the protest today, the student told GB News: ” I’m a university student, and it’s not safe anymore.
“There’s illegal housing right next to the university, so I don’t feel like it’s safe to go to university, especially at night.”
Standing alongside her mother at the protest, they both held a sign which read “protect our women and children”.
Delivering her verdict on the migrant hotels and accommodation in Liverpool, the student’s mother declared Britons are “sick” of the situation they are in, in regards to the migrant crisis.

She told Sophie: “We want to protect our children, we’re sick of it. It’s a frightening situation at the moment, and we want our country back.
“We want to know who is coming in, and we do not want people here that are illegally here, and we have come to take a stance about it.”
Another protester demonstrating against the migrant crisis voiced his concerns for his children’s safety and the future safety of younger generations.
He told GB News: “We just want our kids growing up into a safe environment, because you can see all over what’s happening, and it’s just not nice.”

Speaking to a counter-protester on the other side of the street, Sophie pressed the man on why he decided to demonstrate alongside Stand Up to Racism.
He told GB News: “Solidarity forever. I think we should have refugees here because we are Britain.
“We’ve taken refugees in all our existence, and I think that’s a good thing.”
Taking aim at the local anti-migrant protesters, the man concluded: “I don’t like the look of that lot either, that’s another thing.”
