Robert Jenrick has claimed that “Britain is being scammed” after he filmed migrants marching straight towards the Channel in dramatic footage posted on social media.
Mr Jenrick spent 48 hours in northern France from Saturday to Monday, observing the situation “up close.”

In his video, the Conservative MP confronted the human stories behind the crossings. Some migrants told him they were seeking a better life in England, rather than fleeing immediate danger.
One man, claiming to live in Saudi Arabia and work in an office, said he expected to be able to settle in London.
Mr Jenrick said: “It’s not long before a man warns me to leave the camp and moments later, bottles are thrown at me.”
As he was leaving, Mr Jenrick spotted a group of illegal migrants leaving the camp.
He followed them as they walked through Dunkirk and boarded a bus without tickets, all in plain sight of the public.
His footage shows groups of 40 to 70 migrants moving through towns and hiding behind trees near the shore, entirely unsupervised.

At no point did he see any French police officers and when he attempted to alert authorities, he was told officers might not be dispatched.
He said: “They just said that they don’t think the police will be sent out. We’ve literally gone to a camp, found a group of migrants holding life jackets, watch them get on to a public bus in plain sight of everyone.
“We watch them walk through Dunkirk. And we’ve given £800million to France, we didn’t see a police officer the whole day and now we’ve just phoned them. It doesn’t sound they even going to bother to come out.”
Migrant crossings have hit a record high in the past week, despite the Labour Governments attempts to stop the people smuggling gangs.

Last week, Starmer announced that a one in one out deal with France is officially operational.
“The numbers are staggering, and the lack of enforcement is shocking,” Mr Jenrick told his viewers.
“We give France huge sums of British taxpayers’ money, and yet we watched migrants board buses and walk through Dunkirk without a single police officer in sight.
“This is not border security; this is a system being exploited.”
