Minnesota’s Somali fraud scandal | Power Line

Imprimis is the distinguisued monthly publication of Hillsdale College. It goes out in hard copy to some 7,000,000 free subscribers (subcribe here) and is also posted online. Long-time Imprimis editor Doug Jeffrey invited me to write the January issue for readers who are only vaguely aware of Minnesota’s massive public-programs fraud. In my world Doug is a legendary editor. I was grateful for the opportunity to write for Imprimis and for him.

My essay has just been posted under the title “Learning From Minnesota’s Somali Fraud Scandal.” Limited to 3,000 words, I couldn’t do justice to each aspect of the story, but I tried to cover it from soup to nuts. I was able to dig a little more deeply into the political component last week in the Washington Examiner column “Exit Tim Walz, stage Biden.” Power Line readers don’t need my introduction to the fraud story, but I hope some readers may find it of interest or of use. Yet to be told is the story of the battle of the Twin Cities.
