Missing foreigners | Power Line

Hey, the Wall Street Journal thinks they’ve found those missing airline passengers. The headline,

It’s Summer Vacation Time. Tourists Are Saying No to America.

Good. The headline from the front page of today’s print edition reads for this exact same story,

Foreigners’ U.S. Travel Declines, Crimping Businesses.

Either way, I still don’t care. On page A-3 of the print edition, the Journal includes little bar graphs showing the drop off in traffic in 2025 from major European countries plus Canada and Mexico.

What I really want to see are graphs of inbound traffic from those countries where we were flying in refugees/asylum seekers at U.S. taxpayer expense in the dying days of the Biden Administration.

Those global flyers aren’t being missed in the nation’s domestic terminals. I mentioned late last month about the blockbuster Memorial Day travel weekend. Friday, May 23 saw more than 3 million passengers pass through TSA checkpoints.

That marks the first day since December 1, 2024 (right after Thanksgiving) that the figure was over 3 million, and only the third time, ever.

Auf Wiedersehen!
