I wrote here about the Trump administration admitting some white South African farmers as refugees. That seems entirely appropriate, and certainly legal: these South Africans present themselves, register as required by law, and thus are identified and can be vetted. That is the legal process, not sneaking across the border and yelling “asylum” if you get caught.
Nevertheless, liberals are horrified at the idea of allowing white people to seek refuge in America. That negates the whole point of multiculturalism! The Episcopal Church, to its everlasting shame, has withdrawn from the refugee resettlement program rather than help whites:
“In light of our church’s steadfast commitment to racial justice and reconciliation and our historic ties with the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, we are not able to take this step,” [the Most Rev. Sean W. Rowe, presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church] wrote. “Accordingly, we have determined that, by the end of the federal fiscal year, we will conclude our refugee resettlement grant agreements with the U.S. federal government.”
Because helping whites is incompatible with “racial justice and reconciliation.” This flat-out racism is one reason why the Episcopal Church is dying.
Much like MSNBC. This “reporter” attributes to the Trump administration things the administration has not, in fact, said. She is reporting on her own state of mind, and nothing else:
NEW: MSNBC’s Yamiche Alcindor hyperventilates over the White South Africans who were granted refugee status by Trump.
“So the Trump admin, they’re saying that essentially these white South Africans assimilate better, and they’re also not as much of a security risk.”

White South African farmers have an excellent case for refugee status, whether MSNBC likes it or not. They are being murdered in large numbers–“kill the Boer,” which means “farmer” in Dutch and Afrikaans, is a popular political slogan. And it isn’t an idle threat. White farmers are being killed, while the lucky ones are driven off their farms with no compensation.
So this is perhaps as pure a test for racism as we will see in the modern world. The Episcopal Church and MSNBC have proved themselves racist. No doubt there are many others, probably including most Congressional Democrats.
