From The Hill newspaper,
‘Indicators’ of possible terrorism in deadly Austin mass shooting: FBI.
That thing that never happens happened again, this time down in super-liberal Austin, Texas.
The Hill reports,
The FBI says there are “indicators” suggesting a possible terrorism connection in a shooting near a popular bar in Austin, Texas, that left two people dead and at least 14 others injured. The suspected gunman is also dead, according to authorities.
And the suspect?
Sources have identified the alleged gunman as 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne to Nexstar’s KXAN and The Associated Press.
Clues,
Diagne is originally from Senegal, according to multiple people briefed on the investigation. One of the people told the AP that Diagne came to the U.S. in 2006 and was a naturalized U.S. citizen.
You can always count on the New York Post for the telling detail,
Austin mass killer captured on video wearing ‘Property of Allah’ hoodie during rampage.
As they used to say on TV, “case closed.” Not so fast. From Axios,
“It’s still way too early in the process to determine an exact motivation,” said Alex Doran, acting special agent in charge of the FBI’s San Antonio field office.
I’m not sure that “exact” is truly necessary in this instance. Good enough will likely be sufficient.
