The anti-ICE crews continue to rampage across America, including in downtown Los Angeles, New York City, and of course, Minneapolis. We know they use the encrypted communications app Signal to collaborate, and we know they have the full blessing of many Democrat “leaders” like Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, who openly incite violence.
Now, a teachers’ union head is admitting that elected leaders are on the secret chats too:
The head of the Minneapolis teachers union said in a recent interview that elected officials are involved in anti-ICE agitation in the city.
“The notion that people that are actively engaged in ICE watch, in being vigilant in protecting our neighbors, in Signal chat groups, running plates, in their cars doing patrols — that somehow we’re ashamed of that activity, that somehow you can call our bosses and show our faces and then we would be shunned by our community…” Marcia Howard told Al Jazeera in an interview that aired last week.
Then she lays out the real truth:
“Our bosses are in the Signal chats with us,” she said. “Our elected officials are in the chats with us.”

So who is Marcia Howard? She is president of the Teacher Chapter of the Minneapolis Federation of Educators. But if you look into her background, teaching children seems to be the last thing on her mind:
She also said that teachers are involved in the attempts to subvert federal law enforcement.
“We’re armed with whistles and our phones making sure that students are safe going to class,” she said. “And then they escalated the brutality. Every single day they taunted us. From their rental trucks, they would do things like — the agents that they brought to the Twin Cities — these hapless, untrained, overly-militarized agents, were in hotel rooms where they did not detain the workers in those hotel rooms because they wanted to be served by immigrants.”

Activism isn’t new to Ms. Howard; in fact, she has been involved in numerous leftist groups and is known as the unofficial “steward” of George Floyd Square, where she still meets with fellow activists every morning.
It’s one thing, however, to meet up and discuss your opinions, and even protest against things you don’t like — but it’s quite another to interfere with law enforcement efforts by the federal government. Ms. Howard may wind up on the “finding out” end of that reality.
We’ve written regularly about some of this country’s far-left teachers’ union presidents and members in the past, and in all too many cases, it seems the protagonists are much more interested in spewing extreme political ideology than they are in the welfare of children.
The grade for many of them: F-.
