Mark Halperin invited me to join him and his guests Marc Caputo (Axios) and Michelle Caruso-Cabrera (CNBC) on the first 2Way Tonight show of 2026. After Mark’s guests discuss the doings in Venezuela, I turn up about half way through.
I am afraid I enjoyed talking about history a bit too much — the history of my involvement with Power Line — before we get “Inside the Surging Minnesota Somali Scandal as Tim Walz Ends Reelection Bid.” I appreciated the opporunity to join Mark and thought some readers might want to check out the episode if only for the discussion of Venezuela.
Lorie Byrd is the author of my favorite review of of last night’s episode. Lorie must be the niche audience for my dive into the history I know best. I would only add that John Hinderaker is the founder of Power Line. I am more comfortable describing myself as an original contributor.
Always love to see @scottwjohnson and especially enjoyed hearing him talk about the history of @powerlineblog! He was extremely humble in his description of his work on that blog and since then. Scott, @JohnHinderaker & Paul Mirengoff were truly groundbreaking. Glad @MarkHalperin… https://t.co/ddjSOjQOEm
