Oh no, not again

Minnesota’s feckless Democratic Gov. Tim Walz formally announced today that he’s running for a third term.

The Hill newspaper is out with a story that begins with a Walz quote,

I’ve always tried to do what’s right for Minnesota. And I’ll never stop fighting to protect us from the chaos, corruption, and cruelty coming out of Washington.

“Corruption”? The biggest feature of Walz’ tenure is the $1 billion of fraud verified committed against state government welfare programs. I suppose he could go for $2 billion in another term.

Minnesota Democrats have benefitted personally from this fraud through campaign donations from those later convicted of multiple felony fraud counts. For obvious reasons, Democrats have fought against all but the most token anti-fraud reforms.

But Walz wants to run against Donald Trump for governor of Minnesota since Walz cannot run on the basis of his own nonexistent accomplishments.

Especially in his second term, Walz shifted to govern from the hard left. Now the nation, and Minnesota is no exception, has moved in the opposite direction.

I’m not saying he can’t win, as state Democrats have perfected the art of ballot harvesting. If that weren’t enough, and it usually is, the state has the laxest election laws in America (bar none). I’m aware of no other state that combines election-day voter registration and bans the use of ID for voter registration and for the casting of ballots.

Earlier this year, in federal court, naturally, two Minnesota residents pled guilty to federal crimes of voter registration fraud.

Uff da.
