Blue cities across America struggle with even the basics of governing. Case in point, New Orleans, Louisiana. From NBC News,
2 people arrested, accused of assisting inmates who escaped Orleans Parish jail.
A third person, a jail maintenance worker, had been arrested earlier.
You may have run across this story, ten (10) inmates escaped last week from the parish jail, with five still at large, at last report. Of the escapees, two are reported to be murder suspects.
I’ve long given up on the idea of paved streets in Democratic-run cities, but keeping accused murderers behind bars should be within the wheelhouse of any marginally competent municipality.
But, on the other hand, the beignets are fantastic.
