Louis Tomlinson has openly confronted the underwhelming crowd size at his Oslo concert on Thursday evening, the second date of his How Did We Get Here? world tour.
Taking to the stage at Unity Arena dressed entirely in black, the 34-year-old singer directly referenced what he called “the elephant in the room” during a pause between songs.
“I’ve been thinking about it – I can see the empty spaces, I’m not blind,” he told the audience in footage shared on TikTok.
The former One Direction star expressed gratitude despite the disappointing turnout, telling fans: “Today was one of those days I needed your support.”

One fan commented that they hoped this would “not become a recurring speech throughout the tour”, criticising the poor promotion of both the album and concerts.
Others highlighted the sparse attendance given the quality of Mr Tomlinson’s music, while some suggested the venue selection had been misjudged.

His candid moment in Oslo follows recent social media posts in which he reflected on the mental challenges of touring, describing his first solo tour as “terrifying” and admitting he was often “hard on myself” despite receiving love from audiences.
